Within Reach | Updates and field notes from the Dive Cams team

Your inspection footage has a job to do.

Help the supervisor see what the diver sees. Give the engineer a clean record to review. Help the asset owner decide what needs attention. That takes more than an HD label.

The next-generation Reach Digital Diver Camera System (DDCS) is now shipping, bringing together clear underwater imaging, practical controls and dependable documentation in a system built for real-world diving.

In May, we showed why not all HD is created equal. In August, we introduced the rackmount interface box. Now, see how it all comes together.

See the detail. Keep the context.

When you're assessing submerged infrastructure, the footage needs to remain useful long after the dive. Reach DDCS captures 1080p HD video at 30 fps, with selectable Wide Dynamic Range and Defog modes to help manage glare and improve contrast in challenging conditions. Text and sensor data are recorded directly into the file, keeping essential context with the footage. USB export makes it ready to hand over to the site.

The result: a clearer record to review, share, and compare with future inspections.

Reach Digitial Diver Camera System

Spend less time setting up. Get on with the work.

Your crew has enough to manage on deck. The system is designed to keep camera setup straightforward:

  • Connect without manual IP setup. Software automatically detects connected cameras, lights, and sensors.
  • Run up to four cameras. Multi-camera capability is standard across the system.
  • Simplify connections. Camera and light share one wet-mate connector.
  • Protect the tether. A sacrificial Y-termination puts wear on a replaceable component.

With a camera rated to 300 meters and helmet, mask-rail, and pistol-grip mounting options, the system supports the way your divers work.

Reach DDCS Software

Build on the equipment you already own.

Upgrading your camera system shouldn't mean starting over on deck. The rackmount interface box connects to your own PC over RJ45 or WIFI. An adaptable module supports integration with tethers from other manufacturers. Tell us what you're running, and we'll help confirm the configuration for your spread.

"The crew at Reach have thought of everything with the Digital Diver Camera System. The 1080p HD video quality, picture capture and depth tracking. The entire system is quick to set up, extremely user friendly... Just awesome."
